Flood Relief Services in North Karnataka

Village served: 3 villages [Jamakandi taluk]
  • Adihudi – 50 families
  • Chikkalakki – 60 families
  • Rahamat nagar – 50 families
Before distributing the relief materials, a survey [9th Oct 2009] was made to identify affected villages on the minimum family requirements. Relief materials were procured based on the needs of the people. Following are the list of requirements:
  • Food grains [for one month]
  • Bed sheets
  • Tarpaulin
  • Bread loaf
Above items were distributed to 160 families in person on 10th Oct 2009 by the team.

In order to help the needy, list of families’ requirements were analyzed with village panchayat accountant, president, known volunteer friends, relatives and advocates. Requisite materials were procured from the local unaffected shops at cost price. We wish to thank all for their support which made our mission successful.
