Tantra has sponsored Students of Mechanical Engg. Department, RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, to design and build a highly fuel efficient car, which addresses the issues of oil crisis, environmental pollution and need for green technologies.

This is the first step toward an eventual participation in "SAE Supermileage International Competition, USA" and "Shell Eco-Marathon, UK". The project addresses serious issues such as energy conservation and emissions reduction. The fuel efficiency of the car was tested on the NICE corridor and under test conditions has demonstrated a mileage of 180 km/litre.
